The "arrière Kochersberg" trail
Trail covering a distance of 40 Km in 3h30-4h with an average level of
difficulty. Altitude variation 70 m.
A very picturesque trip through the back country of the Kochersberg and
historical sites which are worth going out of your way to see: church bell
towers in the Romanesque style, numerous remarkable farm buildings, wayside
crosses and the Convent at Reinacker, a place of pilgrimage dedicated to the Virgin
Mary.
The Southern Foothills

Trail covering a distance of 25 Km in 3h30-4h with a serious level of
difficulty. Altitude variation 115 m.
A beautiful trip during which you can explore, not without some pain,
churches and their Romanesque bell towers, organs, chapels, old Alsatian farm
buildings and the Castle of Birkenwald.

The Abbey trail
Discover the signposted 23 km (or 13 km) abbey trail, far away from traffic,
a trail at the foot of the Vosges with
a view over the Mosselbach valley, during which you can explore the villages
of the March of Marmoutier Abbey with their beautiful churches and their
Romanesque bell towers.
Three other signposted cyclable itineraries can be reached from the abbey
trail, i.e.:
the Castle trail (30 km or 21 km.), the Foothills trail (29 km or 21 km.),
the Ackerland trail (20 km or 12

From Marmoutier, you can cycle to Molsheim, Strasbourg, Kehl
and even Offenburg in Germany (map of
cycle tracks in the Bas-Rhin available from the Tourist Information Office on
